Prayer
Thank you, Lamb of God, that by your blood you have ransomed for God saints from every tribe and language and people and nation and have made them to be a kingdom and priests serving our God. We rejoice that your grace reaches to the highest heaven and flows to the lowest valley, drawing in people from many diverse life experiences. _
Open our eyes to see the richness of the body of Christ, that we may grow and learn from one another, celebrate your goodness, and enjoy the gifts you have given to us in the many branches of your family tree! So that your name may be glorified, we praise you! Amen. Inspired by the Book of the Revelation 5:9-10_

One: For God alone our souls wait in silence. Our hope is from God, our fortress.
All: God is our rock and our salvation. God is our refuge and our deliverance.
One: Trust in God at all times, in all places. Pour out your hearts to the One who hears.
All: All people are valuable in God’s sight. No one is more important than another.
One: Worship God, who is ready to speak to us. Open your lives to God’s steadfast love.
All: All power in the universe belongs to God. God asks for our faithful service.
All: Let us be church. Let us worship God.
The Prayer of Confession
We await your message, God of all places and times. Sometimes we do not like what we hear, but we know we need to listen. While we make distinctions that favor us and our friends, your message is inclusive and fair. You call us out of our comfort zones to do new things and try better ways. You direct us to reach out to people with whom we seem to have little in common. Speak your truth to us in this service so we can carry it to the places where you want us to go, to the people you are eager to reach. Amen.

The Hebrew Scripture Lesson Isaiah 40:27-31
27 Why do you say, O Jacob,

“My way is hidden from the Lord,
and my right is disregarded by my God”?

The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
