Focus Scripture – “Comfort, comfort my people, a voice cries out in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord. A voice cries out: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” (Isaiah 40:1 and 3)

Message: “Isaiah of the Exile”

Theme: God’s promise of redemption is radical and certain.

Hymns We Will Sing:
HYMN #85 “Light One Candle to Watch for Messiah” (TIF IN VELDELE)
HYMN #106 “Prepare the Way, O Zion” (BEREDEN VAG FOR HERRAN)
HYMN #104 “O Lord, How Shall I Meet You” (VALET WILL ICH DIR GEBEN)

Prayer of the Day: O God, The world as we know it turns upside down in light of your redemption. Encourage us by the promise that all wrongs will eventually be made right in your eternal kingdom, for which we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
