2nd Sunday of Lent

We hope you will join us for worship each week. Here is some information that you might like to have about this week’s worship service.

Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16 (p. 899, Pew Bible)

Focus Scripture – “‘Take what belongs to you and go; I choose to give to this last the same as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Matthew 20:14-16)

Message: Laborers in the Vineyard

Theme: A world modeled after God’s generosity would provide enough for all people.

Hymns We Will Sing:

  • HYMN #503    “Lord, We Have Come at Your Own Invitation”    (O QUANTA  QUALIA)
  • HYMN #28  “You Are Before Me, Lord”              (SURSUM CORDA – Smith)
  • HYMN #725       “O Jesus, I Have Promised”                          (NYLAND)

Prayer of the Day: O Lord, you are merciful, just, and gracious. Make us grateful recipients of your generosity and joyful dispensers of the same lavish benefits to those who depend upon us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
