December 2, 2018 – First Sunday of Advent

Focus Scripture – O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not listen? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? Why do you make me see wrong-doing and look at trouble? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. (Habakkuk 1:2-3)   

Message: Faith as a Way of Life

Theme: The prophet, grieved by injustice/suffering watches for God’s reply.

Prayer of the Day: Faithful God, you proved your faithfulness to your people when they cried out to you in distress. Be present in our distress, and show us how to be faithful to you in the midst of suffering.
