Ephesians 2:11–22
“Christ is our peace.”
Through his life, teachings, and ministry Jesus united all peoples – even those who were former enemies – and encouraged us to move from strict adherence to legal details to a new understanding of the overall nature of God’s law: love God, and love your neighbour in the same way as you love yourself.
This week, think of a time when you were bothered by the details of obedience and felt yourself freed by focusing instead on God’s call to love one another. Write about it in your journal.
