John 1:43–51

We so easily reject inspired people, worthy organizations, and important causes out of hand, influenced by their reputation (which may be incorrectly represented), put off by their passion, or misunderstanding their mission. Luckily, Philip is pleasantly persistent, and Nathanael is open – at least a little bit – to the call and cause of Jesus. Let’s be careful of what we reject because it is different or difficult. Let’s realize God’s vision comes into being in places, ways, and people we don’t expect.

This week check out a liberation movement or peace and justice organization that you’ve wondered about. Explore its history, learn who’s involved, attend one of their meetings or presentations and/or participate in an activity they sponsor.
