Matthew 10:24–39
This week Jesus’ teaching disrupts our peace, but above all we’re reminded to not be afraid. God’s presence is always among us. What have we to fear? God knows the hairs on our heads. God knows our hearts. And even as Jesus alludes to future dangers and persecution, he assures the disciples that they will find life in losing it for Jesus’ sake.
This week, reflect on what fears you have. Each day, spend time in prayer sharing your fears with God. Then, listen (and look) for examples of how God is with you even when you are afraid.
