Reflections for 11-3-2013

Luke 19:1–10
“’Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.’ So Zacchaeus hurried down and was happy to welcome Jesus.”

Jesus’ visit to Zacchaeus’ house shows us how important it is to share how much God’s love really means to us – through our hospitality and sacrifice. Zacchaeus was viewed by many as a sinner, and even as unclean because of his interactions
with the Romans. Jesus called Zacchaeus by name – knowing what was in his  heart, even as the crowd grumbled. Jesus said, “For the Son of God came to seek out and to save the lost.”

Something to think about, talk about, or do: This week invite someone into your home for a meal.
